St John's is a small, friendly school which prides itself on the development of each individual child, no matter what his or her ability. Academically outstanding results are achieved, and children are encouraged to develop their talents. Small class sizes, with a maximum of 16 children, promote the unique friendly atmosphere of the school. The school offers English, Mathematics, Sciences, Geography, History, ICT, RE, Art, French and German specialist teaching from Yr 4 and timetabled music lessons.
Children in the Pre-prep department (Nursery to Yr 3) also have the opportunity to experience specialist subjects with junior IT and Science laboratories equipped with dedicated junior equipment. This allows a unique opportunity for children to become comfortable with specialist subjects from a young age.
