Squirrel Lodge Guest House is a warm and cosy  family run guest house situated in a quiet street only a few minutes walk from the centre of the bustling and popular market town of  Keswick with its many attractions, shops, cafes and pubs.

We are also only about ten minutes walk from the delightful Lake Derwentwater and many walks can be started from the door.

With many years combined experience in the hospitality industry Pat and John have now been running Squirrel Lodge Guest House for nine years with the aim of providing guests with warm and comfortable accommodation in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and at realistic prices. We continue to maintain and improve our standards for your comfort and our facilities have been awarded Visit Britain 4 Star quality rating.

Our large breakfasts, cooked freshly to your order give you an ideal start to your day,  be it exploring the National Park and beyond or fuel for a full day out on the fells. We cater for vegetarians as well as those with more traditional tastes.

Squirrel Lodge Guest House is conveniently located in a quiet street and only a few minutes walk into the centre of  Keswick and its many attractions, the lake and the splendid Theatre by the Lake.

Many walks to the surrounding countryside and the hills can be started from the door so you can leave your car behind.

Squirrel Lodge Guest House has a perfect mix of accommodation, serviced daily, with all en-suite rooms.  As an additional benefit for our guests,  Wi-Fi internet is available throughout the house.

We have a small flower garden at the front with table and chairs, where you can sit and watch the world go by and enjoy views of Skiddaw and Latrigg.

For cyclists we have bike storage available.  All parking in Eskin Street is on-street parking but there are no restrictions.
