Saybrook Point Marina

Saybrook Point Marina in Old Saybrook, Middlesex County, United States | Boating

The lower valley of the Connecticut River is a region of exceptional natural beauty and historical significance. For two hundred years, the mouth of the Connecticut River was the gateway to the interior of New England, as the river provided access to the settlement and development of inland Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont. Then, fortunately, the region escaped the intensive arid indiscriminate industrial and maritime development which has blighted the estuaries and shores of so many major rivers with factories, oil refineries, tank forms and refuse dumps. Today, the lower Connecticut valley is the last important river estuary on the eastern seaboard of the United States which remains unspoiled. It combines the natural beauty of broad marshlands and high wooded ridges with the charm of historic farmhouses and villages.
The Saybrook Point Marina is located at the mouth of the Connecticut River less than one mile from the outer marker, making it the most convenient waypoint for both river travelers and those on a journey through Long Island Sound. Our gas dock is loaded with fenders and staff, so we are a very popular stopping point for vessels up to 200 feet.
In historic Old Saybrook where the Connecticut River meets the Long Island Sound, Saybrook Point Inn and Marina is a point renowned for its unmatched picturesque views.
