Paradise Park

Paradise Park in Hayle, Cornwall, United Kingdom | Zoo

This Attraction called, Paradise Park was established in Hayle, Cornwall, St Ives in 1973 as a tropical bird garden, and since then otters, red pandas, native red squirrels and the rare Cornish Chough can all be seen here.

The Paradise Park Attraction in Cornwall, Hayle, has kept about 400 species, and bred just over 200 species. A drop in the ocean, you might say, but we believe we have made a positive contribution to bird conservation, and also to the sum total of our knowledge about birds. Populations of many bird species are declining, and this is a cause for great concern, since birds are known to be a prime indicator of the general health of the planet.

Paradise Park, Cornwall, Hayle was opened after many years of planning and hard work by Mike Reynolds who first had the idea of creating a place which could be home to his growing collection of birds. He imagined a sheltered spot, with large aviaries set in beautiful gardens and he thought this would give him a peaceful life in Cornwall, United Kingdom which he had visited so often from his home in Kent.
