Many famous medical scientists have worked at The Old Anatomical Theatre, and until 1999 the building was used by the Faculty of Medicine for the University of Tartu, but the end of the 20th century had become outdated and too small. The Old Anatomical Theatre is today used to display the medical collections of the University of Tartu Faculty of medicine, and showcases exhibitions and events, a fascinating place to visit.
