The therapy room is situated within the house of Susan Shepherd, because after asking various salons whether they had a spare room to let and receiving a minimal response, she decided to convert one of her rooms instead. The irony is, from wanting to keep her work and home life separate, she now very much prefers working from home, as the informal setting has proven beneficial to her, her work and to her clients. If you would rather have a clinical, sanitised look, then Susan is not the person for you to see. This is not to dissuade you from having a treatment with her, but she has found that some clients like the homely environment, while others prefer a more sterile feel of a salon when having a treatment. Of course, everybody is different, and every therapist is not suited to every person, which is what makes the Littlehampton School of Reiki so wonderfully unique!

At the Littlehampton School of Reiki, they aim to provide the best possible atmosphere for the client, having dimmed lighting and some calming music playing to further aid relaxation and healing, or if one prefers peace, the music is not necessary. Susan ofen burns incense, lavender or rose oil in the room, but again, if that is not what you like, it can be omitted. At the Littlehampton School of Reiki, Susan wants to make sure that you are at your most comfortable to really benefit from the treatments.
