Totnes is known as an Elizabethan town but has much earlier origins with a castle, a wonderful position on the River Dart and a main line railway station for quick access from Paddington. The town has full range of shops, a weekly market and a wide choice of cultural facilities. The area is host to a variety of cultural and sporting pursuits: Dartmoor, the South Hams and South Devon coastline all within easy reach and both Exeter and Plymouth are within half an hour's drive.
The living room at Lavender Cottage is comfortably furnished with a deep sofa, comfy bean bag, dining table, flat screen digital TV, stereo, CD player and DVD player. There is a doorway leading from the lounge into the kitchen that is well equipped with integrated appliances fridge, dishwasher, microwave oven, gas hob, fan assisted oven, washing machine, iron and ironing board.
The stairs from the entrance lead up to a master bedroom with a 5ft bed with luxury bedding and very snug duvet! The single bedroom has a full size single bed with luxury bedding and duvet.
The bathroom has a full size bath with Mira power shower.
The garden is private and secure with raised planted beds, BBQ (seasonal), teak garden furniture and washing line. The cottage is fully gas centrally heated.
Cooking and heating is by gas and energy costs are included in the rental quoted. Bed and kitchen linen are provided but guests are asked to bring their own towels.
