We've recently fenced the river off from the rest of the property. It's proving to be a great 'free roam' area for well behaved dogs as is the fern gully walk.

Although part of the National Park, Johanna Beach does allow dogs on leads ~ Its wide foreshore is ideal for long walks. Dogs are also permitted, on lead, at Beauchamp waterfall and rainforest walk and other scenic spots around the Otways.

The recently opened Great Ocean Walk ~ which incorporates Johanna Beach ~ extends right along the coast line. Tackle the full 91kms or try bits and pieces to & from Johanna Beach.
With advanced notice, we're happy to assist with drop offs at Johanna Beach or nearby Aire River for the walk (approx 5 hrs) back to Johanna Beach ~ or a more relaxed stroll (2 hours) from Castle Cove. We can also recommend local shuttle services.

Sunsets - at Johanna beach or anytime of the day at Johanna beach is worthwhile.
