The splendid Hotel Real was built in 1917 in the neo-French style of the great European palaces at the initiative of citizens of Santander. It was built in honor of King Alfonso XIII and to house His Majestyâ??s court. The Hotel recently underwent a complete renovation to restore it to its original grandeur. Fully air-conditioned, its spacious guest rooms, halls, and lounges have been redecorated and equipped with a flair for tradition and style, combining the comforts required by the discerning traveler.
