THE McLEOD SUITE:
King/Twin sized Bed; Hydronic heating; Spa Marble Bathroom
Towelling Bathrobes Supplied; The original owner of ?The Firs?, as this house was called when built in 1864, was Donald McLeod. A Scot from Edinburgh, he was Town Clerk of Daylesford for 23 years. He also owned and operated the?Battery? or crusher for the goldbearing quartz. This was situated diagonally opposite the house so he used this room as his Parlour/office. It is now our Spa Suite and has the exclusive use of the original, 1905, marble bathroom recently renovated to include a double spa. The bathroom is just a few steps down the passage, towelling bathrobes are supplied

THE WILSON SUITE
Traditional style Luxury; Queen Sized Bed; En suite facilities
Hydronic heating; It was Mrs. Emily Wilson, another Scot, who named the house ?Hollyrood House? (note the incorrect spelling) after the monarch?s residence in Edinburgh. She was also the first to use the house as a guesthouse and continued to operate it until her death in 1927. At that time the house boasted ?superior accommodation and excellent cuisine? two traits we endeavour to retain today. This room was the original Master Bedroom and has recently had a bathroom ensuite added

THE LOCHART SUITE:
Queen sized bed; En suite bathroom; Hydronic Heating
Mrs Lochart acquired the property at the death of Mrs Wilson and continued to operate the business until her death in 1949. There were ten rooms available for rent at that time including three bungalows in the western garden. This room was part of the original 1864 house and has recently had a bathroom installed.

Built as the Billiard room in 1927, the restaurant specialises in both Asian and Western food.
