Welcome to Collard's Lakeview Bed and Breakfast in Niagara on the Lake in Canada. Built in 1879 our home is one of Niagara on the Lake's "Chautauqua" homes. Although the Chautauqua Society ceased operation in 1900,Lakeview continued as a summer residence until 1956. First called the Swiss Chalet guests were welcomed for afternoon tea and lunches. Rooms were also available for the weary traveler.
It is now fifty-seven years that our family has owned Collard's Lakeview Bed and Breakfast. Jim and I purchased it from his parents in 1984 and have welcomed Bed and Breakfast guests since the summer of 1987. This year is the twentieth anniversary of Collard's Lakeview Bed and Breakfast in Niagara on the Lake.
Eating a full breakfast is the only way to begin each day. At Collard's Lakeview Bed and Breakfast, b beakfast is served in the our sunroom overlooking Lake Ontario. Your meal includes fruit in season, coffee, tea, juice, homemade bread, Niagara jams and jellies, and entree. After dining, you can retrieve your bicycles for a short ride into town, or just stroll along the boulevard, past the golf course.
The way to see Niagara on the Lake is at a leisurely and thoughtful pace and go back in time. Let our home be your central holiday location for golf, cycling, dining and of course the Shaw Festival. Visit our Canada's first historic museum and Fort George. Taste a new wine at one of our many award winning wineries. We would be pleased to arrange any reservations or tee times you might need.
