Welcome to our family owned Cherry Garth Hotel situated in Ambleside at the heart of the United Kingdom's Lake District.

Superbly situated less than five minutes walk from both the centre of Ambleside and Lake Windermere, guests benefit from a sunny south westerly aspect with wonderful views over the surrounding Lakeland fells.

Cherry Garth is a non-smoking hotel which welcomes well behaved pets.  We have 12 en-suite bedrooms including four-poster, deluxe and family sized rooms. Families are welcome in our larger rooms.    Ample off-street car parking is available.

The landscaped garden features level lawns, attractive sitting areas, an ornamental pond and a wide variety of mature flowering shrubs and bushes.

All the rooms are individually and tastefully furnished, some with DVD and Video players and trouser presses.

Some rooms feature lakeland stone walls and eleven rooms have wonderful views of the lakeland fells.The lounge / breakfast room features a lakeland stone wall. Patio doors lead onto the garden terrace with superb views of the lakeland fells.

The lounge area is also home to our family of fish, who live in a large tank in one corner of the room.
