Brookgreen Gardens

Brookgreen Gardens in Myrtle Beach, Horry County, United States | Botanical Gardens

In 1931, Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington, founded Brookgreen Gardens, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, to preserve the native flora and fauna and display objects of art within that natural setting.
Today, Brookgreen Gardens is a National Historic Landmark with one of the most significant collections of figurative sculpture by American artists in the world and has the only zoo accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association on the coast of the Carolinas. Within its more than 9,000 acres are the Lowcountry History and Wildlife Preserve, the Huntington Sculpture Garden and the Center for American Sculpture.
Now celebrating its 75th Anniversary, Brookgreen Gardens offers exciting new exhibitions, programs and events.
