Welcome to The Auld Alliance Bed and Breakfast offer a warm welcome to their guests all year round in their small, family-run B&B in the Highland village of Gairloch in Scotland in the United Kingdom.

The Auld Alliance Bed and Breakfast , set on a hillside only a short walk from the village and its amenities, the Auld Alliance offers peaceful accommodation and great views over Loch Gairloch to the mountains of Torridon and Skye. It is an ideal base for exploring the whole of Wester Ross and the Isles of Scotland.

Gairloch itself offers visitors clean sandy beaches, mini cruises on the loch to spot seals, dolphins and porpoises, a thriving harbour, an excellent golf course, opportunities for fishing, cycling, pony-trekking and birdwatching and some of the best and most varied walking and climbing in the UK.

Visitors to Gairloch also enjoy many places to wine, dine and shop all around the loch. There is an excellent heritage museum and, in all seasons, the local inns and hotels hold ceilidhs and live music evenings.

We have just two bedrooms in the B&B. Both are south facing and offer great views over the surrounding countryside, Loch Gairloch and the mountains of Torridon and Skye.

The family, or spacious double/triple, bedroom has en-suite facilities with a large shower cubicle whilst our large double bedroom has its own private bathroom with shower over bath. Both showers are mains-pressure "power showers". There is a hairdryer in each bedroom.

Additional folding beds (more suitable for younger guests) and a cot are available by prior arrangement. A combination of built-in wardrobes, chests and dressing tables provide good storage for guests staying for longer periods.

Satellite TV and a DVD player are provided and a selection of popular DVDs, games and books can be borrowed from our entertainment library. There is also a radio-alarm clock in each bedroom.

Wi-fi is provided free of charge for high-speed internet access.

Guests enjoy a well-stocked hospitality tray and can choose either French or full Scottish breakfast. Packed lunches and traditional or vegetarian evening meals are available and freshly prepared by prior arrangement. We endeavour at all times to use the finest local produce.

Drying facilities are available on request and we have safe, off-street parking for cars or secure storage for bicycles.

Local photography, cards and crafts are on display and for sale at the B&B.

NB. Smoking indoors is strictly prohibited and, out of consideration for allergy sufferers, we regret no pets are permitted in the B&B.
