Akureyri Museum short time exhibitions: Each year the museum puts on 2-3 short time exhibitions.
The museum manages the old turf farm Laufás and the historical site of the trading post Gásir is a project which the museum is currently developing. - Special events arranged by the Museum include: historical walks, an evening of song in the museum church, market day at Laufás, Christmas preparations at Laufás etc.
