The Whalehead Club and Currituck Heritage Park in Corolla, North Carolina in the United States offer a public park with many facilities for visitors to enjoy.

The Whalehead Club is an intricate part of Currituck Heritage Park, situated on 39 acres of sound front property.

The public is invited to tour this newly restored "jewel by the sea", The Whalehead Club and Currituck Heritage Park in Corrola, North Carolina.

Curituck Heritage Park admission and many of the events at Currituck Heritage Park are free, by touring the historic Whalehead Club visitors support the Whalehead Preservation Trust, a non-profit organization established in 1993 to restore and preserve the Whalehead Club.

With physical restoration now complete, the Trust is focused on returning the original 1920-30?s furnishings to the house. The park is open from dawn until dusk daily and we hope you visit often.

The Whalehead Club and Currituck Heritage Park offer the following facilities in Corrola, North Carolina:

Public boat ramp from sunrise until dusk. Due to shallow water and grass, this ramp is suitable for small craft only.The covered picnic pavilion is reserved on a first-come first-serve basis for a refundable deposit. Dine al fresco under a live oak. Just pack a little food, grab a table, some friends, and enjoy the fresh air while you eat.

Whether a wedding, family reunion, or corporate event the plush park lawns offer a breathtaking location for making memories. Enjoy a decoy carving class. Reserve your place in one of the many educational programs offered by the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education. Leashed pets are welcome visitors to the park. Over 100 artists participate in the annual Under the Oaks Art Festival.

Standard Tour: This self-guided tour (audio recording) covers the first two floors where the Knight family lived and an exhibition gallery in the basement. Fees apply.

Search and Find Tour: The Standard Tour with a challenging twist. Appropriate for ages 10-13, for an entertaining and educational approach to identifying items found throughout the historic residence. Fees apply.

Moonlight Ghost Tour: Nov. through April on the first Saturday night of each month beginning promptly at 7:30 pm. Frequently sold out, call early to reserve your chance to see the house at night and hear spooky tales of the Whalehead Club's past including Lost Pirates, Shipwrecks, Mr. Knight's Smoking Cigar, and much more! Fees apply.
