Toms River Seaport Society in Toms River, New Jersey, is a non profit organization that was established in 1976 with the aim of preserving and recreating the interesting history of schooners, catboats and small craft that sailed the intercoastal waters of New Jersey. The society leases and maintains the former carriage house dating back to 1868, that is now home to the Maritime Museum. The Maritime Museum has a library, ships store, ship model displays as well as a small boat display area located downstairs, and an interesting artifact display upstairs. Toms River Seaport Society is committed to preserving the rich maritime heritage through the Maritime Museum.
