Welcome to Tennis at The Causeway Club, Southwest Harbor, Maine, United States. Robert Christie, 22 year Director of Tennis at The Causeway Club, Southwest Harbor, Maine, welcomes members, guests and visitors alike as if they were family. Bob's hospitality does not interfere with his running a top notch Tennis program for players of all ages and all levels of play. Bob is ably assisted in this effort by Brian Brown, our assistant pro, fresh off a stellar collegiate career at Colby.
Private lessons are available from Bob or Brian. As well, they also host a wide variety of clinics, round robins and club tournaments. Details and schedules of the clinics, round robins and tournaments are available in the Events section of our site. Reservations for lessons, clinics and court times may be made at 244-5321.
Junior programs are very important to us on all corners of our campus. On the Tennis courts, junior clinics are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Both Bob and Brian are very adept at helping children learn to love the life sport of Tennis. They have also worked with top juniors, many of whom went on to play at the high school and collegiate levels.
Three of the Causeway Club's Tennis courts are on a point of land overlooking the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Norwood Cove to the west. Our fourth court is in the woods, offering a private, quiet alternative protected from shorefront breezes. All of our playing surfaces are "Har-Tru" synthetic clay courts beautifully maintained with spirited play evident at all times.
Our poolhouse provides showers with towels and Tennis balls available. Bob can assist you with finding a suitable racquet and restringing services.
