St Johns Rangeway

St Johns Rangeway in Geraldton, Geraldton-Greenough, Australia | School

Welcome to St Johns Rangeway, Geraldton, Australia.   St Johns Rangeway Primary School, in 1969 when Mt Tarcoola consisted of little more than Sydney Street, and Rangeway was just a little fledgling suburb, St Johns Rangeway School and Parish was established.

These twin institutions had a mission to represent and spread the Catholic Faith on this south-eastern frontier of Geraldton.  Under the guidance of the then parish priest, Monsignor John Barden, and with the assistance of the Presentation Sisters, represented by the foundation principal, Sr Raphael Quirke, St John’s School began with two classrooms.

From those early pioneering days the School has steadily grown in size but it has managed to maintain the character of a small family School. Today students come from almost very suburb of Geraldton, and areas beyond the city, to be part of this special place of learning.

While the pursuit of excellence in all areas of student endeavour is a prime concern, St Johns Rangeway is a School that not only espouses the Catholic beliefs and values are part and parcel of everyday life. This has led to the School, its students and staff, enjoying a very friendly and caring environment.

The spirit of co-operation and common purpose that has long existed between St John’s students, staff and parents will continue into the future ensuring the continuation of all that is good and valued within our School community.
