South Australian Whale Centre

South Australian Whale Centre in Victor Harbor, Adelaide, Australia | Museum

The SA Whale Centre is right at home in Victor Harbor, a lovely coastal resort town noted for its history, adventure, natural sights and scenery. Indeed, Victor Harbor, just 80km south of Adelaide on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula has always been South Australia's own favourite holiday destination and it is now becoming "discovered" by more and more interstate and international visitors.
The Whale Centre is operated by the City of Victor Harbor. It is housed in a restored 130 years old railway Goods Shed in the heart of Victor Harbor adjacent to the railway station. It features three floors of extensive interpretive displays exhibitions, hands-on opportunities and fun-activities on whaling history and heritage. The Whale Information Counter supplies regular updates on all whale sightings.
