Perranporth is a challenging 18 hole championship links course designed in 1927 by five times Open Champion James Braid, one of the finest Golf course designers. Even after 79 years the original layout has not been changed, a real tribute to a good design.
Perranporth is a seaside course and has an advantage over many other courses in that there are magnificent views of the North Cornwall coastline overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Even if one is playing indifferent Golf, enjoyment of the game can be maintained by the beautiful scenery and bracing sea air. One should pause for a few moments on the 5th & 14th tees, where the setting and views are as fine as anywhere in the world.
