The Noble Maritime Collection in Staten Island, New York, was officially opened in 2000, and is a Maritime Museum and study center that is dedicated to preserving and interpreting historical maritime artifacts, writings and art work of John A Noble, a well known marine artist. The main attraction at this Maritime Museum is the houseboat studio of Noble, and the museum offers history and art programs in their classrooms known as Soul of Sail and Maurice L Shaw Navigation, and these programs are available to children and adults. The Noble Maritime Collection is accessible to disabled visitors, and includes a printmaking studio, areas for performances, a excellent archive and an interesting gift shop. A day spent at our Maritime Museum ensures a fun, family outing that is interesting as well as educational.
