This 103 year old Apartment has been kept in its original condition to give you the feeling of yesteryear. A one bedroom, fully self-contained Apartment with sleeping facilities of a king-size bed and pullout couch. Spacious bathroom with complimentary toiletries, kitchen, lounge (with DVD) and dining room. French doors open to your very own balcony, which overlooks spectacular sea views.

Rua - meaning two in Maori.
Decorated in a nautical theme and gives you the feeling of being on the sea. A Studio Apartment with double bed and two singles with views from large windows onto the water. The bathroom has complimentary toiletries, kitchen, and lounge/dining room with DVD. A shared deck with barbecue and palms gives you a place to relax after seeing the sights of Doubtless Bay.

Rima - Maori word for 5.
Rima is a spacious, 2-storey family unit with two separate bedrooms. Upstairs has a double bed and two single beds. Open up the French doors in the spacious downstairs bedroom and take in the fantastic sea view from your balcony with your own barbecue. The balcony runs the entire width of the unit and is also accessible from the lounge. The lower floor has a lounge with 2 sofa beds, DVD player and an assortment of DVDs, fully equipped kitchen with microwave, stove & hobs, 6-seater dining table, spacious bathroom and double bedroom. This is an ideal room for 2 couples or a family.

Ono - meaning six in Maori.
Ono is our quaint, 2 storey unit with an attic bedroom (king-size bed) with fantastic sea views. Fully equipped kitchen/dining room, DVD player, bathroom and lounge with sofa bed. French doors open to your own balcony with a barbecue, outdoor table & chairs and magnificent sea views.

Whitu - Maori word for 7.
Whitu is our romantic Studio Apartment with king-size bed, spacious bathroom, complimentary toiletries, kitchen, lounge (with DVD player) and dining area. With French doors leading to your own balcony with barbecue you can sit and watch the sun (or the moon) rise.

Waru - meaning eight in Maori.
Waru is a one-bedroom, ground floor Apartment with double bed and sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining (DVD player) and bathroom. As it is located on the ground floor it is very accessible for older folk. Pull up a chair on your own private veranda, have a barbecue, read a book or just relax and take in the view.

Butler Point is a privately owned 26 hectare property in the Far North of New Zealand's North Island. Over the last three decades the proprietors of Butler Point, Linda and Laetitia Ferguson, have developed the property into a Macadamia orchard and one of the Far North's most fascinating heritage tourism destinations.

Heritage Trail
Beginning and ending at the Mangonui courthouse, the Mangonui Heritage Trail provides a glimpse of the great wealth of Maori and European History associated with this area. The Trail is three kilometres in length and accessible by foot or vehicle. The average time to walk the trail is one and a half hours.

Nocturnal Park Glow Worm Grotto
The Nocturnal Park And Glow Worm Grotto is located 24 kilometres inland from Taipa travelling through scenic valleys. A unique display of glow worms is offered both day and night from the easily accessible boardwalk. A nocturnal house, open during the day, allows you to see NZ's native bird, the Kiwi. Barbecue facilities are available and evening tours are guided.

World Famous Fish 'n' Chips
Must be one of the few places left where you buy your fish and chips by weight rather than by a cost per piece. It's also very fresh, coming in straight off the fishing boats, which tie up at the jetty behind the shop. You can sit outside with the sea running only metres under your feet and watch fish swimming around the pier while you eat their cousins and toss them the scraps. Best Fish & Chip Shop in the World

Gumdiggers Park
Experience Northland as it was in the early 1900s. This unique attraction gives the visitor an indepth look into the every day life of the gumdiggers. View the ancient Kauri logs andthe maze of Giant Gum Holes that cover this 8 hectare site.

Situated 25 kilometres north of Kaitaia, Gumdiggers Park is a 4 minute detour off the main road to Cape Reinga.
