Les Musees de La Citadelle in Villefranche-sur-Mer, France is a buttresses fortification that was built in 1550 under the Duke of Savoy to defend the country. The Museum houses fascinating collections, including the one hundred woman in bronze, copper and terracotta, set in a niche of rough stone. Also here are art works by Christine Boumeester and Henri Goetz exhibited throughout, and souvenir works by the great masters including Picasso, Picabia, Miro and Hartung. Les Musees de La Citadelle also has a display of historical figurines in polychrome ceramic depicting daily life in the middle ages, come for a fascinating visit and a walk back in time to the Renaissance.
