Kingsbridge Community Garden

Kingsbridge Community Garden in Kingsbridge, Devon, United Kingdom | Garden

The Kingsbridge Community Garden was started in 1995, when just under an acre of land behind the adult education section of Kingsbridge Community College on Fore Street, Kingsbridge, England, United Kingdom, was identified as a possible community Garden. Since then, volunteers have been working in the Garden and on the management committee to try to make a dream come true. What you see now is the end result, what had been overgrown jungle is now a working organic Garden with many interesting features.
Our aims at Kingsbridge Community Garden in Kingsbridge, England are to be a demonstration organic Garden, to offer an attractive venue for visitors to see, and to involve and empower our volunteers.
We operate within strict ethical guidelines. We follow the Soil Association's advice on the control of pests and diseases and attempt to work in harmony with nature at all times.
One thing we have learned over the years is that Gardens are better when they are shared. Through working together, our volunteers feel that they have contributed to the making of a very special environment.
Work at the Kingsbridge Community Garden in Kingsbridge, England, has always been a team effort and a great deal of love and commitment has been poured into the Garden since the Project started.
