Irish National Stud's Japanese Gardens

Irish National Stud's Japanese Gardens in Kildare, County Kildare, Ireland | Attraction | Take Out | Japanese Gardens

The Irish National Stud's Japanese Gardens in Tully, Kildare, were created between 1906 and 1910, and the aim was then, and still is today, to provide a serene and tranquil oasis where visitors can find comfort for their souls as they spend quiet time in contemplation, reflection and meditation. Our perfectly manicured Japanese Gardens were laid out by Tassa Eida, a Japanese horticulturist and his son Minoru, who succeeded in symbolising the life of man through trees, plants, flowers, lawn, rocks and water, and the peace and tranquility of these gardens are admired by thousands of visitors every year. There is a spectacular bright red bridge, next to the original tea house, and this bridge is a favourite setting for wedding photographs. For a welcome and refreshing break, visit The Japanese Gardens Restaurant, and enjoy simple yet wholesome cuisine where emphasis is placed on freshness and flavour. Take-away sandwiches, salads and wraps are available or you can relax and enjoy these delicious offerings with some great coffee or tea.
