The Historical Diving Society in Gosport, Hampshire, England was formed in 1990 to preserve and protect Diving heritage, and has now grown into an international organisation. The Diving Museum is housed in a Victorian Battery with a short flight of stairs down, and once there all areas are wheelchair accessible. The Diving Museum showcases and exhibits the range of military, commercial and recreational Diving equipment anywhere in Europe, and the co-inventor of the Diving helmet even lived in Gosport back in the day making the town home of the global Diving industry. The Diving Museum is an outreach project of The Historical Diving Society manned entirely by volunteers, why not become a member today. They even have an on-line shop with gifts and collectibles, clothing, kids items, books, prints and much more.
