World Famous Chinese and Canadian Food Restaurant, Gene's Restaurant, a family business has served Stratford, Ontario, since 1970 in Canada and is one of longest existing Restaurants in the area.

Established by Larry and Rae Gene, Gene's Restaurant located at 81 Ontario Street in Stratford, Ontario, is known for it's "Classic" Chop Suey-Chicken Ball style of Chinese food, the Restaurant offers Cantonese, Szechuan, and "Canadian" cuisine.

The Gene's Restaurant dining room can accommodate up to 70 people and is licensed to serve alcoholic beverages. The dining area is now fully non-smoking. We can however accommodate some smokers on our outdoor patio between May and October. Reservations are not necessary but will take them if requested. We can handle some small groups for Functions or parties by appointment.

The menu is basically Chinese-Canadian style or also called the North American "Chop Suey Style" but we also carry authentic Cantonese and hot and spicy Szechuan dishes. As well we do carry some continental item or what we call "Canadian food" like burgers, fries, fish & chips etc. Earlier in the day we have a Lunch Special menu that runs until 5pm. There are "quick menu combos" designed to get you out in a hurry.

Gene's Restaurant is probably more well known for its take out service than anything else. Most popular are the Dinner Packages and the individual combos. Most orders take about 15-20 minutes for pickup and 30-40 minutes for delivery. Delivery charge apply.
