Elmwood House

Elmwood House in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, United States | Bed and Breakfast

Welcome to Elmwood House, Bed and Breakfast, Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Elmwood House was designed by renowned architect Henry Wild Jones, designer of the Butler Building and many other landmarks in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a leading member of the Minneapolis Board of Park Commissioners, Mr. Jones is also responsible for the beautiful canopy of tress that arch over our many shaded streets. He lived at Elmwood with his family until his death in 1935.
Elmwood House, a "European-Style" Bed and Breakfast, offers you and your family quaint and comfortable rooms and a Continental Plus breakfast. We cater to business people and vacationers tired of the impersonal modern hotel. Elmwood is also perfect for family reunions and other special occasions. We can accommodate your out of town guests.
Built in 1887, Elmwood House is a tribute to the early days of Minneapolis , Proudly displaying its circular towers with conical roofs on the north facade, Elmwood has been completely restored to its original appearance. Replacement of the ceder shingle siding of our Normandy-styled Chateau was completed in 1992, using nearly 22,000 hand-pounded shingles.
