Charming Restaurant of Livia and Alfonso Iaccarino, who come from a family with a long tradition in hotel keeping. Their curiosity has brought them to study the 3000 year history of food and wine in the Southern regions from ancients scripts found at the Agriculture University of Portici.
They have learnt not to take for granted all the traditions that have been passed down and having travelled around the world have tried to learn different customs, different territories, different economies through the alimentary habits, through the fish and meat markets, the vineyards and all the places where life pulses.
The Campania region is very fertile and rich in minerals suitable for all cultures due to the lava flows of Vesuvian eruptions. "Don Alfonsoâ??s" cooking takes root in the love and defence of these traditions and this heritage and every effort is made to propagate these sentiments even in the presentation of a dish and wine.
8 years ago Livia and Alfonso started the "Peracciole" farm that is an integral part of the Restaurant. The olive oil, the herbs, the vegetables and the fruit whose taste and colour is difficult to forget, all come from here. In an ancient cellar dug in the tufo rock Don Alfonso stores prestigious wines from all over the world.
