Cycladic Atrium

Cycladic Atrium in Athens, Attica, Greece | Tearoom

In the cool atrium of the Museum of Cycladic Art is the Cycladic Atrium, a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of Athens, Aegean Sea, Greece. Visitors can relax here after touring the museum galleries and enjoy coffee, fresh fruit juices or even a light lunch in an attractive environment.
Cycladic Atrium is located on the ground floor of the Main Building in 4 Neophytou Douka st., Athens, Aegean Sea, but is also accessible from the Stathatos Mansion (Vasilissis Sophias and 1 Irodotou st.) through a glass-roofed passageway.
Cycladic Atrium is bathed in the light that filters through the sliding transparent roof. From spring until autumn, the roof opens and is covered by white cloth awnings, which create intense contrasts of light and shade and protect the visitors from the heat (in case of particularly high temperatures, the atrium is air-conditioned).
The discreet greenery and a small fountain in the centre of the atrium combine to create a warm and welcoming ambience. The fountain is decorated with a pebble mosaic by the artist Zizi Makri, inspired by Cycladic motifs.
