The County Hotel

The County Hotel in Banff, Aberdeenshire, United Kingdom | Hotel

Welcome to The County Hotel, Banff Scotland, Scotland. Whatever the season The County Hotel is here to welcome you, an elegant Grade B Georgian House offering fine views over the historical Royal Burgh of Banff, the Bay and the surrounding countryside of the River Deveron estuary. Designed by George Robertson about 1778 for the Garden-Robinson family (noted merchants and long-standing Provosts of the Burgh) the building contains many features copied from nearby Duff House, William Adam's baroque masterpiece and stately home of the Earls and Dukes of Fife. A Grecian styled porch way with splendid segmented fanlight was added about 1830.
To the front of the house is a small garden with a pair of unusual weeping ash trees, whilst in the rear garden you may relax on secluded lawn and patios surrounded by flower-beds.
The County Hotel car park adjoins the grounds in Banff Scotland.
The County Hotel retains very much the country-house ambiance of former days and as resident proprietors we place particular emphasis on creating a relaxing atmosphere in our home.
Since conversion to a small prestigious Hotel in 1977, the bedrooms have been individually furnished and decorated with all modern-day comforts for the discerning guest. Each room has its own bathroom, colour television, radio, direct dial telephone, writing facilities, electric blankets and central heating.
