The Colonial Beach Historical Society and Museum in Colonial Beach, Virginia offers permanent and continuing exhibits including the fascinating Watermen's Room permanent exhibit which is dedicated to the generations of fishermen and oysterman who made their living on the waters around Colonial Beach. The Colonial Beach Historical Society and Museum is open from early April to mid December and is also available for private tours by appointment, admission is free but generous donations are welcome. The Historical Society promotes and preserves the history of the region and rescued a Historical house from destruction which later became the Museum where unique and fascinating artifacts and photos are displayed.
