Bagaduce Chorale

Bagaduce Chorale in Blue Hill, Hancock County, United States | Choir

Welcome to the Bagaduce Chorale, Blue Hill, Maine, United States. The Bagaduce Chorale is made up of 80-plus auditioned singers from the Blue Hill Peninsula, Deer Isle/Stonington, Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, Surry, Lamoine and Orland, Maine. The Bagaduce Chorale performs twice a year, in early December and in late April/early May. Often its music director and conductor, Bronwyn Kortge invites vocal and/or instrumental soloists as well as small instrumental ensembles to accompany the Chorale. Bronwyn Kortge says: "I love instrumental accompaniments; they support the Chorale in a way that enhances our sound, and add a thrilling texture to the music we create with our voices."
Our director Bronwyn teaches at Mount Desert Island High School, she teaches a voice class to help aspiring soloists prepare for vocal auditions. Bronwyn also directs the Concert Chorus, and Show Choir. She does the vocal music direction for the fall musical.
Bronwyn is proud to direct The Bagaduce Chorale, a community chorus of 60 to 80 voices, performing in Blue Hill, and Impromptu! an a cappella ensemble of adults performing throughout central and coastal Maine.
