Just a few minutes drive north of the Harbour bridge and Takapuna,is situated at the Rosedale Road end of William Pickering Drive on the cusp of the residential and commercial North Harbour estates.

The Chop House heralds a return to comfortable food in a quality environment:

Grain fed beef rump tips, eye fillet stuffed with plump fresh oysters, sweet tender lamb, fresh seafood and chicken, flavoursome vension sausages made on-site, all perfectly grilled and served with your choice of potato and sauces.

Quality steaks are expensive. So nothing else is. Share a selection of favourite accompaniments like creamy fresh spinach, tangy creamy coleslaw and iceberg lettuce wedges with creamy blue cheese dressing.

Classic appetisers include jumbo shrimp with freshly made cocktail sauce, succulent crab cakes, and French onion soup baked under gruyere cheese crust.

Dessert favourites are profiteroles with a hot dark chocolate sauce, crepes folded and baked with orange butter and liqueur.

Daily specials include grilled fresh fish, a fettucine dish, and seasonal treats from steak and kidney pie to New Zealand whitebait omelettes.

For young diners a Children’s menu is available with smaller portions of quality food at very reasonable prices.

From Monday to Fridayserves long lunches and quick lunches with the same distinctive style. Choose from the great value appetisers, the full selection of grills or a classic Steak Sandwich for just 13.90: a chargrilled 150g aged sirloin minute steak on toasted ciabatta with saute onions, iceberg lettuce, beefsteak tomato and your choice of sauces and dressings.
