Diving and Angling around the Isle of Man
Experience diving and fishing in the clear and unpolluted waters around the Isle of Man. Seasonal changes also bring the chance to see exciting wildlife such as basking sharks and seals, at close quarters.
The boat is an Offshore 32 specifically built to meet the demands of divers and anglers. The owners/skippers are highly experienced diving enthusiasts giving you access to a wide number of rarely dived sites and wrecks. The boat is designed to carry 10 divers and is best suited to 8 anglers.
We can base the boat in either Douglas, Port St. Mary or a combination of both. Air is available and equipment can be hired from, Diving Air Services (call Deano on 01624 628123)
Diving from Douglas offers access to a number of wrecks and some scenic drift dives. Our regular wreck sites are Albatross (23m), Ballina (33m), Paddle Wheel (30m), Lady Louisa (30m), Afton (24m), Liverpool (40m), Peveril (40m). Good drifts can often be found off Langness, Santon Head, Little Ness and Douglas Bay.
Port St. Mary gives easy access to the scenic drifts around the Calf of Man and the Chicken Rock pinnacle. These are in general depths of 20–40m. There are a number of other good scenic dives around the south of the Island such as Sugarloaf Caves, Spanish Head, Perwick Bay and Port Erin. There are also plenty of wrecks such as Ringwall (40m), Citrine (15m), Thracian (33m), Don Bosco (33m) and many others in the ‘technical range’.
About Douglas :
Douglas on the Isle of Man, since 1869, has been the Island's capital and the main tourist and commercial centre. Here, too, are the Legislative Buildings of its ancient parliament Tynwald whose origins go back over a thousand years when the Island became a Viking kingdom. The magnificent sweep of Douglas Bay, against the background of green hills, has a charm hard to equal anywhere. Douglas was a pioneer in illuminations and at night presents a scene of spectacular beauty, never to be forgotten.
