Anchor House is a modern, mews-type town house situated in a quiet cul-de-sac and lies immediately behind the coastal road to Scarlett, within 100 metres of the edge of Castletown Bay. The house is within easy walking distance of the town centre and all amenities, including the beach, golf course, castle and bus stops to all other parts of the Island.

The house is light and airy. All doors and windows are double-glazed uPVC. It is simply decorated and comfortably furnished throughout to a high standard. There is ample parking in front of the house but there is also a single garage at the rear, accessed by a private cul-de-sac road.

The accommodation consists of a front entrance porch into a lounge with double doors opening into a dining room and open plan kitchen, on the ground floor. Upstairs there is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a small single bedroom together with a bathroom containing bath, electric shower, toilet and washbasin. The house is set up for use by up to four adults and one child, with cot and high chair provided at no extra cost. All linen and towels are provided.

Douglas on the Isle of Man, since 1869, has been the Island's capital and the main tourist and commercial centre. Here, too, are the Legislative Buildings of its ancient parliament Tynwald whose origins go back over a thousand years when the Island became a Viking kingdom. The magnificent sweep of Douglas Bay, against the background of green hills, has a charm hard to equal anywhere. Douglas was a pioneer in illuminations and at night presents a scene of spectacular beauty, never to be forgotten.
