The Phillipines is a friendly archipelago made up of 7,107 islands in the South China Sea. With a whopping 36,289 kilometres of coastline, the Phillipines promise a hearty choice of long, white sand beaches and bodies of water blessed with a variety of marine life. Hundred Islands National Park is a small national park off the coast of Alaminos. It contains 123 separate limestone islets weathered over the aeons into distinctive mushroom-like shapes. The Philippines is of volcanic origin - it has more than 20 active volcanoes. A large part of the terrain is mountainous and features dramatic waterfalls and ancient rice terraces. The Filipino people are extremely outgoing people. They subscribe to Bayanihan, a communal spirit that holds them together, in good times and bad. This is also extended to visitors so everywhere you will meet people keen to smile, joke, laugh and befriend travellers.This is Philippines.
