Werlcome to the Allegro Hotel, Tihany, Hungary. This Hotel is in the centre of Tihany, one of the oldest villages in Hungary. It is built on the peninsular on the north side of Lake Balaton, which is famous for its Benedictine Abbey, founded in the 11th century. Thehas 14 extremely comfortable en-suite double rooms and one family suite.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of Hungarian restaurants that are just a short walk away, while a few minutes drive will take you to The Club Tihany with its excellent spa which includes masseurs and beauticians. It too has a fine restaurant. There is also a popular sailing club here, and just round the corner is Café Tihany, a superb Italian restaurant overlooking the Lake. Sporting guests can enjoy golf, sailing, riding, fishing and also hire bicycles to explore the countryside.

For those wanting to relax, theoffers a swimming pool (sauna and small gymnasium) and there are two sundecks, ideal for reading a good book accompanied by a glass of wine and a bottle of sunoil. These roof gardens are floodlit at night. The village is on our doorstep and buses can take you to BF which has a large market.

Tihany is a village on the northern shore of Lake Balaton on the Tihany Peninsula. The whole peninsula is a historical district. Tihany is famous for the echo in its church, existing since the XVIII century.
