About Grenada

Grenada, the spice island, and the Grenadines are the most southerly of the Windward Islands in the Caribbean with a population of about 100,000. Grenada is a mountainous volcanic island covered with fragrant nutmeg trees, rare tropical flowers and stunning beaches and will keep its visitors busy: hiking, exploring, sailing, diving and much more. The capital, St. George, is one of the prettiest towns in the Caribbean with its red-tiled roofs of traditional shops and homes. Grenada offers spectacular natural beauty ? cascading rivers and waterfalls, lush rainforests, sulphur springs and spectacular Lake Antoine. There are plenty of perfect white sand beaches and easily accessible pristine reefs off the coast of both Grenada and sister island, Carriacou. Holidaymakers can visit centuries-old spice plantations and rum distilleries that still use traditional methods and there is a vibrant cultural heritage - carnival, fairs, and markets remain an integral part of life on Grenada.This is Grenada.
