Welcome to the International School, Suva, Fiji. Founded in 1973 to serve the needs of the international community in Suva, ISS is an independent co-educational day school offering pre-school, primary and secondary education. Its is one of two IB World Schools in Fiji. The school is located on the island of Viti Levu in a suburb called Laucala Beach Estate. The school is committed to providing the best possible education for each child in its care irrespective of ability and background. ISS believes that children learn best in a secure and supportive environment where they can settle quickly and feel that their talents and personalities are recognized.

The School Ethos: International School Suva (ISS), is a friendly place where students can feel welcome, and where their talents and personalities are recognized. There is a refreshing openness about relationships at all levels that enables newcomers to settle in quickly and to make new friends. For both overseas students adapting to life in Fiji and the Fiji citizen adapting to a different type of school, there are adjustments to be made. The school is a meeting ground for children from all over the world and respect and understanding for other people's religions, values and cultures is an essential part of the ethos of the school.

The School is an orderly institution, where humour, spontaneity and the discipline needed for academic progress are encouraged. It is a simple tenet of the school that no student be allowed to impede the learning of another. The school prides itself on its high standards and students are encouraged to give of their best at all times and to participate in a wide range of activities beyond the classroom. Although it is a non-denominational school, tolerance, the values of openness and the appreciation of quality underpin school life. The spiritual dimension is acknowledged by recognition of various religious festivals throughout the year.
