Wladyslawowo is a town on the south coast of the Baltic Sea in the Kashubia in Eastern Pomerania region, northern Poland with 14,801 (2005) inhabitants. Situated in the Puck County in Pomeranian Voivodeship since 1999, previously in GdaÅ„sk Voivodeship (1975-1998), WÅ‚adysÅ‚awowo is a sea port and one of the most popular Polish seaside resorts. The gmina (municipal commune) of Wladyslawowo consists of several districts: Wladyslawowo, ChaÅ‚upy, JastrzÄ™bia Góra, Ostrowo, Rozewie, Karwia, TupadÅ‚y. JastrzÄ™bia Góra, Ostrowo and Karwia are some of the most popular Polish Baltic Sea resorts. In 1634 engineer Fryderyk Getkant designed a fort called Wladyslawowo located on the Hel Peninsula, several km east of today's town of Wladyslawowo. Wladyslawowo and Wladyslawowo Port are PKP railway stations in the town.
