Current trails include the Golf Course Trail, McKenzie Island Trail and Centennial Park Trail for lake skiing, cross country skiing, and backcountry skiing. Red Lake District Cross-Country Ski Club advises that you protect yourself from sun and wind, wear proper clothing and bring sufficient water, leave space between you and other skiers, only ski on open trails, no obstructing trails, slower skiers give way to faster one's, keep a trail map with you, check out more ski etiquette rules on their website. There's a jackrabbit program as well that teaches kids from 4-14 the basics of cross-country skiing every Sunday from January to March, come enjoy some fun on the trails which are offer excellent classic and skate-skiing opportunities alike.
