Lough Swilly Marina
Lough Swilly Marina in Fahan near Buncrana, Co. Donegal Ireland will, when completed, have a capacity to provide sheltered berthing for 406 boats of various sizes with water and electricity. Lough Swilly is a deep water estuary and marked with easily identifiable navigation lights along the main deep water shipping channel. It is 12 miles long and up to 3 miles wide running from the Atlantic in the north to Inch Island in the south. Lough Swilly Marina is ideally located near restaurants and there are temporary toilets and showers available until the upgrade is done. Currently the marina can accommodate about 200 boats for pontoon berthing of various sizes.
