McLaren Vale Vineyards

 

Vineyards, where grapes are grown, can now be found all over the world now, where formerly they were mainly grown in Europe.

Vineyards make use of land not suitable for other farming, so hilly and mountainous areas are often home to vineyards.

Vineyards date back to around 6000 BC, with early wine production, but were really developed under the Catholic church in the Middle Ages.
