    Port Huron Museum welcomes visitors to come and enjoy a fascinating exploration of their four sites namely the Huron lightship, Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, the Thomas Edison Depot and USCG Cutter Bramble. Enjoy current exhibits at the main museum and a fascinating insight into the history of Port Huron, Michigan and the museum is open 7 days a week, but closed on holidays. The Port Huron Museum also offers extended hours for events and private tours, so come view the wonderful collections on display and learn about the history of the lighthouse.


  • Huron Lightship Museum

    Come visit the fascinating Huron Lightship Museum in Port Huron, Michigan the last lightship on the Great Lakes which is open to the public from April through Mid December. Lightships were like floating lighthouses always anchored where it was too deep for a lighthouse, and the Huron Lightship was stationed at various shoals on Lake Michigan. This fascinating museum offers a look into the workings of the lightship from yesteryear and when she was commissioned to guide mariners into the narrow dredged channel of lower Lake Huron leading to the St. Clair River.
