Whale Beach Surf life Saving Club

Whale Beach Surf life Saving Club in Whale Beach, Sydney, Australia | Surfing

Welcome to the Whale Beach Surf Club
Whale Beach SLSC was founded in 1938 and has a superb, multi-storied Club House that is owned by the members rather than the local Council. There is accommodation for members and a gym as well as board and ski storage. The Club has around 100 active and active reserve members and some 120 supporting associate family members. There is keen competition in surf and beach events each Sunday and members enjoy the weekend barbecues on the entertainment deck.
The very picturesque beach is relatively small, around 850 metres wide. The North end, nicknamed "The Wedge" is a favourite Surfing spot. The Club was the innovator of Ocean Swims and stages the annual Palm Beach to Whale Beach 2.5km Big Swim which attracts over 1,300 swimmers.
