Launched on August 16th 2001, Signor Valentino in Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay is the latest flagship Restaurant in Babak Arabestani's expanding Restaurant chain, and has introduced a refreshing dining experience to the waterside area.
As with all his other Restaurants, Signor Valentino has been designed by Babak himself, and has been described as cool, chic and contemporary. With an open plan kitchen, American oak flooring, original modernistic paintings complimented by marble and glass, this new eatery has already developed its own "community" of regular diners.
With panoramic views across the harbour, Signor Valentino makes the most of its elevated first floor location, with a glass frontage which opens onto a large balcony that can accommodate an extra 40 people for "al fresco" dining during the summer months.
Though elegantly modern in design, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, with the traditional Italian food presented in a refreshingly current style.
