Welcome to the Scarborough Cricket Club in Scarborough, England, United Kingdom. Scarborough Cricket Club?s history spans a century and a half, the club being founded in 1849 when the first matches were played on Castle Hill.
Today the Cricket Club is at North Marine Road, the biggest capacity Cricket ground outside of the Test Match venues.
The Scarborough Club runs five teams, Under 11?s and Under 15?s in the Derwent Valley Junior League, the 3rd XI in the Derwent Valley League, the 2nd XI in the York and District Senior League and the 1st XI in the Yorkshire ECB County Premier League.
There are seven qualified coaches including Piete Rinke ( Zimbabwe International) and Mark Welford who oversees the Juniors. Coaching Schemes include the Bill Foorde Scheme and Chance to Shine.
The beautiful old Pavilion, with its wonderful historic prints and photographs of Cricket at Scarborough is an excellent place for Business Meetings and Family gatherings. The Dining Room, Bar and Committee room facilities are all rooms available for hire for meetings and birthday parties, weddings and special occasions.
