Saucy Restaurant

Saucy Restaurant in Brighton, East Sussex, United Kingdom | Restaurant

In an industry that sees many annual changes and closures, Saucy Restaurant, Hove, is now looking ahead to its third year of business. Saucy was born independently in February 2000 out of owner Tamra Shanly's desire to help raise the profile of modern British food, which at the time was still a matter of confusion to most Restaurant customers outside of London.

The new fusion between global cuisine and traditional English fayre was embraced in a clear and compatible way, and Saucy was born, providing a modern alternative to the fish and chips and cafes more traditionally associated with British food on the South coast. Professional staff and a stylish and comfortable, bright and clean interior are the finishing touches to the Restaurant that was awarded the 2001 Theme Award for Best Restaurant in the South East of England. Attracting a regular crowd, Saucy serves up something for everyone, whether a weekday business lunch or a weekend lunch with out-of-town guests, a special weekend meal for two or a family get-together, with child-friendly staff serving a comprehensive kids menu.
